L'Orangerie

"We were delighted with this gem of a place to stay. Barbara and Chris are wonderful hosts and ensure their guests are looked after. We were not organised enough to think ahead and book dinner but the aromas from the kitchen were amazing! We did enjoy a wonderful platter all freshly prepared accompanied with homemade savoury and sweet tarts and bread which we ate in the garden - perfect. It was hot during our stay so the pool was a welcome addition. The room was large and airy and had all we needed. It's a perfect stop if you are travelling across France but also a great place to spend a few days and explore the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return."

"We stopped for one night on our way south and enjoyed it so much we booked another two nights on our return trip north. We had a very warm welcome from the owners Barbara and Chris and immediately felt relaxed in their beautiful château. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The grounds are lovely to wander around, with the added bonus of a well maintained pool. Breakfasts were substantial, and we really enjoyed Chris's homemade bread and muffins! Dinner was equally delicious and highly recommended. We will definitely be back for another visit and would not hesitate to recommend this special place."

"A perfect stop on our way from the southwest traveling to Brittany. My waistband is tight!! The food was so good. Chris cooked an amazing 3 course dinner when we arrived and the breakfast was superb. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well. We even had a bathroom in a turret. Barbara and Chris are wonderful hosts, obviously well experienced in their field, helpful and knowledgeable on the area. The gardens are beautiful, we will look forward to hopefully seeing them again in another season. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"It was the nicest and coziest accommodation throughout our entire stay in France (and we changed a lot of places). We felt welcome and we were treated very warmly. We loved it that accommodation was in a quiet place, with a lovely pool area, where we also could chat with other guests. The chateau is also a few minutes drive from lovely towns, where you can do some sightseeing and find cute restaurants. If you want, you can also book a dinner at the chateau. Chef Chris prepared an amazing dinner, which we ate in the beautiful area downstairs. I would definitely want to come back!"

"We stayed here for a few nights when we were going to a wedding nearby. We absolutely loved it and would love to recommend it to others. Chris and Barbara are superb hosts and so kind making everything so nice during our stay. We had dinner there one evening and it was so delicious. It was a lovely stay and we hope to be able to return there one day."
